2013 ELECTION NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the City of Port St. Joe's Primary Election will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2013, in the Fire Station. Polls open at 7:00 A.M., ET, and close 7:00 P.M., ET.

Registration books are now open at the office of John Hanlon, Gulf County Supervisor of Elections and will remain open thru Monday, April 15, 2013, at 5:00 P.M., ET.

Candidate qualifying begins Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at 12:00 Noon and ends on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at 12:00 Noon. The following offices will be up for election: Mayor Commissioner; Commissioner Group I and Commissioner Group II.

Beginning May 4, 2013-May 11, 2013, (includes Satudays of May 4th and May 11th) Early voting will be held at the Supervisor of Elections office located at 401 Long Avenue from 9:00 A.M., ET to 5:00 P.M., ET. There will be no Sunday voting on May 5, 2013. Also, Absentee Ballots may be requested now but will be mailed after received from printer.

City Receives Approval to Move the Cape San Blas Lighthouse
This is an excerpt from the US Department of the Interior - National Park Service letter received by the City, "It is our pleasure to inform you that the application has been approved pursuant to the requirements of the Federal Lands to Parks program."

Fund raising will begin in earnest, opportunities to be a part of this historical event will be numerous and all donations will be gladly accepted. The City has been approved for a $125,000 BP Grant to document the rescue and relocation of the historical structures.

The gift shop is currently operating in the Maddox House located at 155 Captain Fred's Place in Port St. Joe on Friday's and Saturday's from 10 -5. All contents from the gift shop are on display and are available for purchase.
