The City of Port Saint Joe wants all of our citizens to participate in the programs, services, and activities offered by the government. Therefore, it is our policy to create an inclusive organizational environment as outlined in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504) and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA). As a government entity, we are committed to empowering persons with disabilities to participate in the social and economic life of the community by eliminating physical and attitudinal barriers.
ADA / Section 504 Access Plan
In the past, significant progress has been made to City facilities at the Centennial Building providing safer access to the building for mobility impaired citizens and at City Hall, providing accessible bathrooms to the public at the parking lot. Public Hearings have been relocated to the Ward Ridge Building, 2775 Garrison Avenue. As additional areas and projects are defined, the City is dedicated to ensuring access to all of it's owned and maintained projects. For a list of these projects or to make recommendations, citizens are urged to contact the City's 504/ADA Coordinator, Charlotte Pierce at 850-229-8261.
