The Port City Trail totals nearly four (4) miles of paved and lighted pedestrian surface, approximately ten feet wide in most places. Restrooms, informational signage and water fountains are available at various points along the Trail. The trail connects the following parks: James "Mr. Benny" Roberts Sports Park, Forest Park Par 3 Golf Course, Forest Park South, Buck Griffin Lake, Centennial Park and Lamar Faison Park.

The Port City Trail also connects over to BayWalk Trail via a 0.25-mile section of sidewalk running along Hwy 71.
